The Cyclone 2500 AutoCoat is a revolution in coating technology, making the coating process easy, fast and user-friendly.
For precision and ease of use there is an automatic carriage with speed control. The carriage is fully adjustable to accomodate all OPC drums, PCRs and MAGs. The arm holds one swab to allow you to precisely coat your work piece. To a coating division speed and precision are vital. The Cyclone 2500 AutoCoat is the lathe that will increase overall productivity in your coating division.
The Cyclone 2500 AutoCoat eliminates the hassles, and allows you to clean and recoat OPC drums, PCRs and MAGs of all sizes.
Conventional methods of cleaning and recoating drums require difficult and cumbersome chucks. Incorporating a Dayton Hi-Torque motor, the Cyclone 2500 AutoCoat eliminates the need for chucks by using two spindles fitted with soft adjustable drivers which gently rotate your work piece. The reverse switch and variable speed control (0-1800 rpm) allow for optimal output.
The automatic carriage is driven with a motor independent of the spindle motor as to not lose any power directed to the spindles. This motor features a left/right switch to allow you to coat from either left to right or right to left. In addition, the carriage features right-side and left-side stop switches to automatically cut off the motor when the carriage has been elevated off the work piece by the right or left elevator, respectively.
The Cyclone 2500 AutoCoat was designed to be the premiere piece of coating equipment for the cartridge remanufacturer. It turns tedious, difficult work into a fast and smooth-running operation.

Illustrated User Instructions
1. Position the lathe and the AutoCoater such that the labels on the front of each control unit are to the left and facing the user. Position the AutoCoater behind the Lathe. Line up the right side end plates with each other.
| |
| |
 | 2. Now, look at the right side and locate the small aluminum bar attached to the endplate of the AutoCoater using one screw with an allen head. Loosen the screw and release the aluminum bar.
| |
 | 3. Locate the screw on the endplate of the lathe that is the same size as the screw you just took off of the AutoCoater. This screw will be oriented horizontally to the left of the screw you just removed. Remove this screw.
| |
 | 4. Position the aluminum bar such that the two holes in the bar line up with the two holes left by the screws just removed. Re-install the two screws back in the wholes from which they came.
Set-Up Tip
The photos below show how the left and right sides of each of the three rollers are correctly seated on the spindles.
When setting the Carriage Stops and Elevators, make sure the Elevators are vertically straight for clearance.
Maintenance Tip
At some point you may have to replace the drive belt from the motor spindle on the lathe to the work piece drive spindles on the lathe. This is easily done.
Purchase a new belt. The belt is a vacuum cleaner belt from Hoover, part # 38528-011. This is available from Ameri-Tech Concepts or from your local vacuum cleaner repair shop.
Unscrew the knobs on the right side of the lathe on the right endplate. While holding the two spindles with your left hand, ease the plate that the two knobs unscrewed from toward the right. This will ease the two spindles away from the left side of the lathe where the belt is located. You only need to move the spindles about 2 inches to the right to create enough clearance on the left to replace the belt. See photo.
Remove the old belt and seat the new belt over the three pulleys. See photo.
Reinstall the spindles into the left-side pulleys from which they came while carefully lining up the right-side knob endplate for correct installation of the knobs. Reinstall the knobs and screw them back into place. Remember, tighten lightly. Don not over-tighten these knobs, as you will strip the threads and cause the knob endplate to be unable to hold the spindles in their proper place.
