"LasticCoat" is a revolutionary coating that creates a new sleeve over your existing OEM PCR sleeve. "LasticCoat" will allow you to recoat your own PCRs rather than having to send them to a recoating service. This will save you time and money in addition to eliminating the headaches associated with managing your PCR inventory.
Simply clean your PCR and coat with "LasticCoat" using a lathe, such as the Cyclone 2500 AutoCoat and swab. Allow the coated PCR to dry in a PCR drying stand overnight to cure. Your PCRs are ready for use the next day.
Application instructions for PCRs
 Step 1: Cleaning
Clean PCR of all toner with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol. Any residue will cause the coating to peel or give a "fish-eyed" appearance.
Step 2: Pre-Bond Treatment with chlorinated water
This step is critical for optimal coating adhesion.
Mix a small amount of chlorine bleach (a 10% solution) into water. Soak a soft white lint-free cloth with the chlorine mix and pad (gently rub) the surface of the PCR thoroughly (please wear the appropriate gloves for chlorine use).
Chlorine prepares the surface of the PCR for bonding with the coating.
Allow the PCR to dry or dry it with a soft white lint-free cotton cloth.
Step 3: Application of Coating
Use a lathe, such as our Cyclone 2500 AutoCoat lathe, for application. Spin the PCR @ about 150-250 rpm.
- While the PCR is still rotating in the lathe, dip the swab in the coating. Allow the swab to absorb the coating. As you take the swab out of the can, lightly squeeze the tip of the swab on the inside lip of the can.
- Place the swab on the edlge of the PCR surface and activate the AutoCoater to coat the PCR. The coating should take about 15-20 seconds to apply.
- Let the PCR rotate for about 30 seconds before removing from the lathe. This action will allow the coating to be distributed evenly and dry enough so it will not sag when you stop the lathe.
- Stop the lathe and place the PCR in the PCR stand to dry and bond.
- Coating dries to the touch in 5 to 10 minutes, depending upon temperature. Curing time is at least 6 hours at room temperature with normal air drying, depdent on the room temperature and humidity. We recommend, for best results, to let the PCRs cure overnight.
Do not use PCR for at least 24 hours after coating.
