Mag Roller Coating
| Our mag roller coating was developed for those remanufacturers that have employed a sandblaster to strip and resurface their own mag rollers. Our coating will cover the surface of a resurfaced mag roller to prevent that roller from oxidizing. The coating allows for a consistent, even charge from your mag roller for optimal print quality throoughout the print cycle.
2 oz. Bottle $32.00 (50+ Mags @ $.64 ea.),

Application Instructions
- Texture/refinish the mag roller.
- Pour coating in a glass container. Place container on a hot plate (warmer). Coatings temperature should be between 75 and 110 degrees fahrenheit or 24 to 43 degrees celsius.
- Place mag roller on the lathe. Turn lathe on at full speed and clean roller with alcohol. Wipe off any residue that the dried alcohol has left on the mag roller.
- Immerse
a clean foam swab into the warm Mag Roller Coating. Squeeze swab on the inside
wall of the bottle to get the air out and allow swab to absorb the coating
material.
- Set lathes
speed control between 50 and 60 on the dial.
- Apply
coating on the mag roller with the swab from left to right or right to left,
moving your hand as quickly as possible (10 to 15 seconds). Make sure that
all the textured part of the mag roller is coated. If the coating does not
adhere to any part of the mag roller, there may be some residue on the roller,
continue to apply the Mag Roller Coating on that spot until it adheres. Re-coat
the roller and to even the coating.
- Watch
the coating dry and start increasing the lathes speed until you are running
at full speed. You will be able to see the coating dry in about 30 seconds.
- Apply
cold water on a soft clean cloth. While the lathe is running at full speed,
wipe roller with the wet cloth by just barely touching the roller. The gold
pigment of the coating will come off on the cloth. This, however, is NOT an
indication that the coating itself is coming off. Let roller dry (10 seconds).
The cold water will set the coating.
You can now use the mag roller immediately. The coating can only be applied on a mag roller that has been textured by the Ameri-Tech Concepts Inc. Cyclone Mag Roller Refinisher or by sand blasting equipment. The texture must be even for the coating to properly adhere to the roller.
